James Talbot
UK The South of France and Italy
James divides his time between the South of France, Italy and the UK. He has some thirty five years experience in the purchasing of art and antiques for buyers and collectors in the UK, Europe and America. He has been instrumental in the design and furnishing of some 20 houses in Europe and the USA, as well as being responsible for putting together some impressive Art and Furniture Collections for those keen to invest in the Art World.
James speaks most of the major European languages. This skill has enabled him throughout his career to have entry to a broad spectrum of Artworks, often privately for sale, from collectors worldwide. His passion is to uncover items that are often not easily accessible to most individuals
James has also bought and sold classic and vintage cars for private clients.
John Finnegan
USA
John studied Fine Art restoration and analysis at L'Istituto per l'Arte e il Restauro in Florence, Italy and completed his undergraduate studies in Finance at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
John has been involved in the Fine Art and Antiques Business for over 20 years. Currently he is the managing partner at the Private Search Company LLC, based in New Orleans.
He is also president in WIW LLC, an International internet-based art company.
WIW LLC is privately held and funded by venture capital. The corporation sells art acquisition and sales advice, research information and appraisal services to a variety of collectors and institutions and adheres to all USPAP foundations and by-laws.
Another company founded in 1996, Sterling Fine Art and Research has provided its services to museums, auction companies, institutions, conservatories and private collectors. Sterling's appraisal portfolio well exceeds 50 million US $. John has been its president since its inception.
Previously he was the Decorative & Fine Arts Specialist with a major art and antiques gallery in New Orleans, MS Rau. John was instrumental in the growth and development of their Fine Art portfolio, which accounts for 40% of the company revenue. He was also the General Manager of and and investor in Harris Antiques, also located on Royal Street in New Orleans.
John brings considerable experience to the Private Search Company network.
Lady Caroline Percy
USA Europe United Kingdom
Caroline is a freelance Fine Art consultant and Interior Designer. She has advised on the acquisition of paintings, antiques and objets d'art throughout Europe and the USA. She speaks Italian, French and Spanish having lived and worked in all three countries and has appeared on TV to talk about historic interiors.
Her ID projects have included companies, private homes & institutions, such as:
A Penthouse triplex in Manhattan. Two listed Period Town Houses in Mayfair.
An Italian Bank in Grosvenor Street. An Historic Country House in Hertfordshire.
The Oppenheim Bank HQ in East Berlin and its offices in Hamburg & Stuttgart.
The Argentine Embassy, London. A neo-Georgian Mansion in Southern Ireland.
Working on the refurbishment of Home House, in Portman Square during its conversion into a gentleman's club by the designer Edward Bulmer.
Andrey Anisenko
Moscow
Based in Moscow, Andrey spent much of his childhood and youth in Paris where his father was attached to Unesco. Andrey is bilingual in Russian and French and competent in English and Italian. He has always been interested in world history and its diverse cultures and art.
Andrey is a media professional and is one of the founders in 1990 with the Lagardere Group of the first private Russian radio station, Europa Plus. In 2004 he also headed a major Russian publishing house and launched the magazine "Antiques," dedicated to the antiques market and world art treasures, making the acquaintance of many individuals involved in the world of antiques and collectors.
Relying on his impressive network of connections with Western and Russian connoisseurs and art cognoscenti he started in 2005, a brokerage activity in art masterpieces both classic and contemporary.
He has also been instrumental in locating high value real estate for clients.
Andrey is currently head of the Moscow office of Fine Art TV, a platform dedicated to creativity in all its forms.
Andrey's professional experience and art appreciation and knowledge enable The Private Search Company to establish an important link between the cultures of the East and West.
Jacqueline Rothschild
South America
Jacqueline was born in the Argentine and has spent many years in both North and South America being active in an art consultancy business spanning the many diferent cultures of the continent.
She has a built up collections of Argentine Colonia Equestrian silver as well as 18thCent decorative and utilitarian silver and has always been involved in Latin American contemporary and modern art and especially works from ithe Argentine and Brazil. Whilst living in New York she was Director of the Vista Gallery which focused on Latin American Art.
Her varied assignments have led her to work closely with artists such as Richard Warholic ine exhibiting his hand made and hand paintd furniture as well as with his wooden wall hangings. She has alo provided the art work for the Sambra Gill, a restaurant at one of Steve Wynn's Las vegas casinos which was done with elements of orginal Brazilian feathers at the behest of Rockwood Architects.
She has also worked with the owner of a major collection of Uzbekistani Ikats which was exhibited ins five major museums - Fine Arts of Bston, the Sackler in Washington, The Denver Art museum, the Jewish Museum in New York and the San Francisco Museum. The book pf Ikats silks of central Asia, published in 1997 was awarded best art book of the year by Witterborn's in 1977.
As a Private Art Consultant she has continued to develop the resources to locate quality works of art from North and South America, both modern and contemporary and has remained very busy advising private collectors.
